The Café de Paris is a very old member of London’s nightclub scene originally opening its doors in 1926. However, age has not stopped the notable club from being a favourite of A-list celebrities of all ages. Its retro classical style of elegance sets the mood for a night like no other while clubbing in London.
Inside Café de Paris
The Café de Paris is a page out of what you would expect a queen’s own personal nightclub would look like. Decked out in gold and white diamond, every furnishing and item in the Café de Paris is elegant and looks as if King Midas himself has paid a visit. The club has enough bling-bling to outshine pretty much any rapper on the table but is decorated with an old school glamour and elegance so the image is more royal privilege than showy. A very delicate balance to achieve, but excellently accomplished by Café de Paris. If you arrive early in the night the restaurant is also open to visitors with a wide array of delicacies for every palate.
What to expect from Café De Paris
The Café de Paris is a very notable nightclub in the London area balancing old UK celebrity royalty from Mick Jagger and Robbie Williams to new notables such as Lindsey Lohan, Jennifer Ellison, and even Verne Troyer. With such a staggered guest list, you might imagine a crazy nightclub scene, which is partially true since you never know what to expect once you set foot into the club. However if crazy and eclectic is your style than you should love a night out at the Café de Paris as the dance music ranges from commercial hits to sultry R&B to live swing and jazz bands early Saturday nights.
Location of Café de Paris
Found at 3-4 Coventry Street London the Café De Paris can be easily accessed off of the Piccadilly Circus/Leicaster Square tube station. The dress code is very smart given its opulent décor so leave all sportswear at home although fashionable jeans without any holes or rips are acceptable.
