Taman Gang Nightclub

The Taman Gang is an unusual nightclub, but still worth a stop if you are clubbing in Mayfair if you are also craving some five star food. This is because throughout the week the Taman Gang is an Indonesian restaurant that emphasizes the culture throughout the design of the club as well.
However, despite the fact that the Taman Gang is a restaurant by day does not mean that it sacrifices the club feel at night as the floor becomes live with the same energetic spirit as most of the other night clubs in the area. Of course, you can only expect the most from a nightclub that is the favourite of stars such as Samuel Jackson, Kate Moss, and Naomi Campbell.

Inside the Taman Gang Nighclub:

One of the things that stand out immediately as soon as you enter the doors of the Taman Gang is its unique Asian décor. From classic marble walls and pillars, to intricately designed floor tiles, and golden candles the setting of the Taman Gang is delicacy at its best.
In typical Asian style the booths are all set close to the floor and patrons are seated low to the floor as well.  If you enter the dance floor area you will be welcomed with a sharp change of pace however as the wooden area is sleek with plush cushions and delicate stools and tables.  The varied blue and pink lighting also helps the area come alive.

What to expect:

The crowd at the Taman Gang nightclub varies by the time you arrive. The dance floor does not open until 23:30 so up until this point you will mainly see older people mixed with some young clubbers ready to get out on the floor. Once the clock strikes midnight however the crowd on the floor becomes much younger and hip as the eclectic dance music starts to pump throughout the Taman Gang club.  If you head out simply to enjoy the dance floor you can expect to pay £20 after 22:30. Average food costs is about £40 a person however and includes club entrance so if you want a full night for an extra £20 it is worth it to arrive early and grab a meal.

Location of Taman Gang:

The Taman Gang nightclub is located at 141 Park Lane and is open to the public although the small club area fills up quick so grabbing dinner or showing up early is your best way into the club.  Dress is smart casual but leave your sneakers at home as the upscale décor will not allow for street dress.  The club is most easily accessed via the Marble Arch tube station.
